Dalai Lama for Peace
 BARCELONA 2007

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has accepted the invitation of Fundació Casa del Tibet, ( Tibet House Foundation Barcelona) to visit the Catalan capital during the 10 and 11 of September to give a Public Talk and to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Foundation.

It is a reason for great joy to welcome HH the Dalai Lama in Barcelona once again, after 10 years of his last visit, Fundació Casa del Tibet (Tibet House Foundation) is warmly organizing each detail of the program with the will of offering the best conditions so that this meeting with His Holiness is auspicious and its message of peace arrives at the greatest number of people.

The Public Talk will take place in the Palau Sant Jordi of Barcelona, September the 10th at 15.00. We recommend to the assistants to arrive at least one hour before the talk is scheduled to start. Please read the useful information.

Concer “The Lama's song ”

During the stay of the His Holiness Dalai Lama programme, the “The Lama’s Chant” concert will take place performed by Lama Gyurme and Jean-Philippe Rikyel in the Santa Maria del Pi of Barcelona church (Plaça del Pi s/n) 10th. September at 08,30 p.m.

Mantras and Buddhist Holy Songs will be offered by Lama Gyurme and Jean Philippe Rykiel. They are classic millennium songs with a modern touch performance transmitted from generation to generation. The purpose to recite the mantras is to calm the suffering of the people to purify the past negative actions and to clean the karma, the search of quietness and silence in order to obtain the inner peace.

The entrances for this concert are only available at Fundació Casa del Tibet Barcelona. From September 1erst.

Lama Gyurme

He was born in Bhutan in 1948, from the beginning had a deep and clear vocation towards monastic life having exceptional qualities. When he was 4 year old joined the Djang Tchoub Tcheu Ling Monastery having abilities with holy music. He studied holy texts and tradition arts including music.

Jean-Philippe Rykiel

He was born in France 1961; he was self-taught music student from early age. He became a synthesizer expert and he collaborates in many occasions with different artists as Vangelis or Leonard Cohen.
