The Tibet cause is not the only cause we support but it clearly and unmistakably reflects the injustice certain people suffer at the hands of particular economic superpowers. Tibetan people carry a priceless message to promote peace and compassion in this world and are being appallingly threatened by the intolerance and cruelty of the Chinese government. A totalitarian government that seeks to become one of the first world powers with the support of the other main economic powers. In this global world the great powers should take, once and for all, certain ethic and moral commitments on behalf of their people and the international community, if they want to continue developing their economic activities. Hotel la Paz, as a group, will always support the causes promoting peace, respect and coexistence of the different people in this world. |

"Nobody likes it when you have your own faith", these are the lyrics of a well known but a not so well accepted song, I believe. In Tibet there are millions of people living there but they are an irrelevant minority compared with China. I believe one has to stand with minorities always. The difference is a treasure but the people in power would rather like all of us to be the same. The policy of the Chinese government with regard to Tibet is dictatorial. In this very moment they are in a "de facto" state of siege. Journalist and visitors are not allowed into Tibet so nobody can tell the truth. Thousands of Tibetans have fled to exile and the project to raise a wall to isolate the population, that's the last straw!. On the other hand, I am not very much in favour of religions, but I believe that Tibetan Buddhism is a kind of religion-philosophy barely invasive and rather respectful. Tibetan people are a haven of spirituality but a spirituality not easily controlled by the capitalist system in general. That's why we must protect their ideas, their country and their rights.

I am for David rather than for Goliath, in favour of respect and freedom rather than "because I bloody say so". I don't like shooting or tanks. Although Tibet is far away and it is small, what is happening there is so unfair that I want to join this action. Join us in this concert, the cause is worth your support! |

Gossos
"We believe in the free sovereignty of Tibetan people. We believe in their values and in the way of life of a peaceful people who diffuse "love for all living beings in this world" as their main value. People believing and living with such ideals are feared by the selfish who are in power. Free Tibet." |
